What are veneers?
Veneers can also be referred to as laminates, and are used to enhance the appearance of your teeth in a very conservative, yet effective manner. Veneers are thin, porcelain, cap-like shells that are customized to match your existing teeth in color and shape.
Veneers are bonded to your existing teeth to reshape them. You may need veneers if you have broken or irregular teeth, or discolored teeth that don’t respond to traditional whitening treatments. Our goal is to give you a reason to love your smile again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get veneers?
Veneers are a great alternative to crowns and caps, to help you fix your smile. If you have gaps, broken teeth, chipped teeth, or irregularly shaped teeth, veneers may be for you. To find out if you’re a good candidate for veneers contact us today.
What can I expect when I get veneers?
Before you get a veneer, the surface of your existing tooth must be properly prepared. After administering a local anesthetic, we’ll buff the surface of your tooth. You’ll then be asked to bite into a mold that will be used to create your veneer. You’ll have to make another appointment once your veneer is ready, so we can bond it to your tooth and adjust its color and lift.
What happens after I get my veneer?
There is no need for special care after you get your veneer? Normal brushing and flossing can take place, though you may experience some sensitivity between your first and second appointment.
