What is All On 4?

To gain a better understanding of the All On 4 procedure lets start with what a dental implant is.  An implant is a small titanium screw that inserts inside your jawbone and replaces the root-part of a missing tooth. Minor surgery is required to insert the implants. When the implant is in place, the dentist attaches a crown to give you a realistic-looking and functional prosthetic tooth.  With All On 4, you do not need a dental implant for each area where your teeth are missing.  The All On 4 concept lets the dentist precisely place four implants on the top of your mouth and four on the bottom, to fully restore your smile.  This is what makes All On 4 so unique, as it is a truly a life-changing procedure for the nearly 35 million Americans that are either missing all of their top and/or bottom teeth.

What are the benefits of All On 4?

Aside from only using four implants to restore each arch, All On 4 gives you teeth immediately and can be performed even when bone loss has occurred.  Most of the time bone grafting is not needed.  With All On 4 there is also minimal recovery time, and it significantly reduces the overall cost when compared to single implants.   The entire process is much less invasive and involves less surgical time than previous treatments.  The beauty of this new procedure is the sheer convenience. Special implants were developed for this treatment allowing for the immediate fitting of replacement teeth to the abutments. This means that with only four implants, patients can leave our dental office with a full set of new replacement teeth within only one appointment!

How do I get started?

In order to properly evaluate your case you will initially require a consultation and diagnostic appointment so we can best determine the treatment path necessary for your case. This includes determining whether or not your case will require extractions, gathering the appropriate information via dental radiographs, Panoramic scans and impressions and any other photos required.  Directly after this consultation, you will be scheduled for a secondary evaluation if needed or you will be scheduled for implant surgery in which the new replacement teeth are fitted and adjusted all in one appointment, including any necessary extractions.  In order to get started, please call us at 847-297-0808 to schedule your All On 4 consultation.
